In her day job, Collette is a freelance prop-maker and set-dresser for stop motion animation. Over the last 8 years, she has worked on projects such as Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox, and the much-loved John Lewis Christmas advert, The Bear and The Hare.
On the threshold of her 30th birthday, Collette is finally taking steps towards pursuing her childhood dream of becoming an illustrator. This website is the result of several months spent doodling, painting, sketching, scribbling, printing and generally experimenting with media, materials, and inspirations.
With influences as diverse as Tove Jansson, Edward Gorey, Eric Ravillious, and English folk art, her work combines a love of storytelling, mark-making and the natural world.
